Why use a Personal Trainer?

Why use a Personal Trainer?

If you’re on the fence about hiring a personal trainer, let me give you some great reasons why you might want to take the plunge. From helping you reach your fitness goals and avoiding injury to figuring out how to exercise safely with a chronic condition, learn why hiring a personal trainer could be one of the best investments you can make in your overall health and fitness.

Motivation

This is often the main reason people use a PT – to motivate them to stay on track with their fitness.

How many times have you gone to bed and said to yourself, ‘Tomorrow I’m going to wake up, go to the gym, and do an hour workout before I get ready for work’, and then woken up and decided to sleep for another hour instead of exercising? By working with me, I will ensure you commit and stick to your training.

Help you set and reach your goals

One of the first things we do is to set realistic goals you want to achieve – whether it is to lose some weight, reduce a dress size, be ready for a marathon or just to feel better about yourself, it is important to have something to aim for.

Correct form

You must have the right form and strong posture before you start any training. I will demonstrate the correct form and technique so you are always training effectively and safely.

Sessions just for you

I teach many group fitness classes, sometime up to 50 people at a time. It is impossible to correct everyone’s form or give everyone your 100% attention during the class. With personal training, you have my undivided attention – I am focused just on you. Plus I am able to cater each session to suit your abilities and requirements to ensure you reach your personal goals.

More than just exercise

In addition to a Certificate IV in Fitness (which all PTs should have), I have done a lot of additional education including a Nutrition course so I can provide you with the right nutritional advice to achieve your goals. My main goal is to help you reach your fitness goals but I also want to help improve your overall wellbeing too. I care about how stressed or unhappy you are, because that will impact how motivated you are when you train. Think of me as your unofficial therapist.
